Puzzle Break Long Island offers regularly scheduled virtual games 7 days per week, as well as private events at custom times during the week.
What is Puzzle Break Long Island?
Puzzle Break Long Island is normally an interactive, real-life escape the room game designed to be fun and challenging while testing you and your team’s mental prowess. Join in with your family, friends, co-workers, etc. as you attempt to solve puzzles, find the key, and escape the room, all within 60 minutes time. Teamwork and logic are essential in order to solve the challenging clues and puzzles during the game in order to proudly claim “I’ve Escaped!” prior to the clock striking zero.
The Puzzle Break games are so innovative and fun that our games are exclusively found on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships.
What is this virtual game?
The Grimm Escape: Virtual Edition has all of the essence of our normal escape rooms. Requiring brain power, team work, communication and togetherness, you and your group will have 1 hour to find the clues, solve the puzzles and cast the correct spell to break the Witch's curse before the clock strikes zero.
What does 'SOLD OUT: PRIVATE ACCESS ONLY' mean?
This means that another group has already reserved that day/time. If you aren't sure if that's your group, please do not book, or give us a call to check.
How does pricing work?
Our pricing is per player, not per device. This means that you count whomever is playing as a paid player.
What if our team is experiencing problems solving some of the clues and puzzles?
Not to worry, if your team is having trouble during a game, several hints will be provided by our live in-game operators to move the game along (should your team wish to accept them). But make sure you use them properly as only a limited amount of hints are offered. And if you ultimately can’t win the game in time, we will still let you out!
How much does it cost to play?
Tickets for our regularly scheduled virtual events are $25.00 per player and they must be purchased in advance HERE.
Is it scary or dangerous?
Not at all! Our games require participants to have the mental strength to escape, combining logic and teamwork. The game materials are rated for all ages and all games are private.
How many people do I need to play?
Puzzle Break requires a minimum of 3 players for our virtual experience.
I only want to play with my friends / my group, what do I do?
No problem, all virtual games are private!
We have a larger group than the capacity for each game. How can you accommodate us?
If your group takes up all the tickets within the room, we usually can allow another 1-2 people to join in on the fun. Contact us prior to make arrangements.
How long is the game?
Briefing, Escaping, Walkthrough, and Debriefing will take approximately 90 minutes. Briefing will begin promptly at the scheduled start time so please don't be late! Should you have not escaped the room on time and wish not to be debriefed in order to try the same room again on another date, we will most certainly honor your wishes.
When should I arrive?
We recommend signing onto your Zoom room around 5-10 minutes prior to the start of your game.
Does my group need our own Zoom meeting room?
Not at all! Puzzle Break provides a fully licensed, private Zoom meeting room for you. You can find your zoom information and link on the Puzzle Break webpage provided in your booking confirmation.
How many devices will I need?
We recommend utilizing 1 device for Zoom and another for the E-GAME. If you don't have multiple devices, you can split your screen when utilizing a Desktop or Laptop computer.
What if I run into issues setting everything up?
Take a deep breath and give us a call! We're here to help!
What if I am running late?
Please remember that all Puzzle Break games are live events so please arrive early as mentioned above. Arrivals over 10 minutes late will NOT be allowed to participate. There will be no refunds or exchanges for participants who arrive past our lateness policy.
I see multiple different rooms available, are those the same game?
Yes. Currently, we're only offering The Grimm Escape: Virtual Edition.
Can my team play your new virtual game during the week for our teambuilding / morale event?
Absolutely! We can accommodate teams of all sizes for games to fit your schedule..
We can also accommodate other groups looking to set up a private event, whether it is for a team competition to see who can escape the room the fastest against the 60 minute clock or for a special birthday party experience.
What's the age requirement?
There is no set age requirement at Puzzle Break, although we recommend that 10 years old be the minimum age for players. Parental supervision is required for ages 10 and under. We frequently host birthday parties, camp/school gatherings, and other private events for players age 8 and above. Our in-room game operators are able to successfully manage the experience to ensure even our younger participants are able to solve the puzzles and enjoy. As exceptions can always be made, please feel free to contact us for further details regarding whether Puzzle Break Long Island is age appropriate for your group.
Help! Something came up and I can no longer make it. What can I do?
We cannot offer refunds or exchanges, but your ticket isn't tied to you. You are welcome to give your ticket to someone else and they will be able to take over your spot.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets are available for purchase six months before the game date. We are happy to reserve your private event up to one year in advance, should you desire.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes and a Puzzle Break Long Island gift certificate is a great gift! Head over to the TICKETS PAGE and simply tap the "Purchase a gift certificate" button.
Is it true you have games on Royal Caribbean Cruise ships?
It sure is! Look for Puzzle Break games onboard Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Harmony of the Seas.
I have a question not listed here! Can you help me?
Of course! Simply contact us so we may answer any additional questions you may have regarding the Puzzle Break Long Island experience.
STRATEGY
Communicate! The smartest teams routinely fail when they do not talk to each other. The most puzzle-challenged teams often succeed if they possess superior communication skills. There is no more certain path to failure than fully or partially solving a puzzle and having a teammate use their precious time to replicate your work!
Don't be afraid to leave something and come back to it later. There are a wide variety or puzzles in our rooms: some big, some small. Some folks excel at certain types of puzzles and not others.
There are some easy to find clues, there are some hard to find clues. Make sure you search exhaustively.
Listen to staff! They might be in the room to help provide some direction and might drop important hints throughout the experience. The most successful teams make sure to give these highest priority - and share them with their teammates!
